NEWLY REDESIGNED & IMPROVED FOR 2005! Shimano Tiagra-A Big Game Reels have newly improved Ratcheting Lever Drag System, which eliminates the chance of the drag lever backing off due to boat vibration and allows for more precise drag adjustments, an improved 2-speed gearing system, chrome plated sideplate screws to eliminate corrosion, and the addition of an Offset Ergonomic Power Grip Handle (not available on the TI-12 or TI-16) for more leverage when "grinding" on a big one. Shimano has taken a huge leap foreword in their approach to reel design, never happy to stay the same. Shimano has upgraded the Tiagra range taking the best value for money reel on the market and making it even better.

Hydrothermal Drag System - Shimano Tiagras feature a revolutionary oil filled piston which automatically compensates for heat build-up and maintains your drag setting where you want it. Tiagra's pre-lubricated graphite drag washers operate smoothly to apply constant and even pressure to the fish. For those wet and wild fights, the Tiagra drag is impervious to saltwater!
